Dogs in Today's Society
An exclusive Pet Talk Radio!
presentation
OK -
initially it sounds a little 'dry' but we eagerly attended the inaugural
'Dogs In Today's Society' seminar at Parliament House (NSW) on Tues. 14th
March 2006. In time of course this may seem 'dated' but it will be an
interesting archive to compare with 'today' and of course to see if this seminar
actually had any real impact on dogs and/or people in society.
Jointly facilitated by the Royal NSW
Canine Council and the NSW Dept.
of Local Government, the speakers - all prominent in their respective
fields, have finally come together - publicly - to put forward current and
future thinking and plans to improve how we deal with pets in today's society.
And don't just think this is for NSW... a lot more is on the agenda!
Right now you're probably thinking - what's to improve?... we ALL love pets
right?... but sadly, with many cases of dog aggression and dog attacks,
particularly towards young kids or the elderly and domestic cats destroying
wildlife, understandably some people would rather we didn't have animals as
pets... There are issues such as pets in pet shops, tail docking, breed specific
legislation and much more.
Pets are not only good for us personally, they are good as a whole for a well
balanced society.
Pet Talk Radio! brings you this exclusive full report by presenting the
full un-edited presentations by the following speakers.
