REVEALED.....Two
of Australia's Best Kept Secrets...
'Pet Talk Radio!'
and 'The
Community Radio Network'
* Surveys are conducted every 2 years - we'll update this
information soon
Data extracted specifically for Pet
Talk Radio! from the 2006 McNair
Ingenuity Community Radio National Listener survey
has shown that...
* An
estimated 640,000 people aged 15+, or 4% of all Australians aged 15+
listen in an average week to the community radio stations that take Pet Talk
Radio!
* An estimated 1,686,000 people aged 15+,
or 10% of all Australians aged 15+
listen in an average month to the community radio stations that take Pet Talk
Radio!

Community Radio National Listener Survey
Read
the full report on stations that take Pet Talk Radio!, however
what has also been revealed in this latest survey is that community radio
continues to increase its audience share nationally and that more people are
discovering 'programming niches' long ignored by mainstream media.
Because funding for such a large survey is limited, detailed 1/4 hour listening
habits for individual stations is not available, however what is very exciting
is the fact that Pet Talk Radio! can now confidently reveal total
reach figures for pet owners who also listen to community radio.
PET OWNING
AUDIENCE REACH
* 66%
of Australians own a pet
(source: Australian Companion Animal
Survey 1995)
Based
on Australian pet ownership figures and the 2006 national listener survey, the
total pet owning audience reach of Pet Talk Radio! is 422,400
people. These people also happen to listen to community radio either
exclusively or in combo with other sectors. (see
full report)
Of course we'd be the first to say
not all this audience 'belongs' to Pet Talk Radio!, however even
the most pessimistic advertiser would have to agree that unlike any other show
on community or commercial radio, Pet Talk Radio! offers a
potentially large opportunity to talk directly to Aussie pet owners 52 weeks of
the year.
Whether solo or combined with our own website and weekly program guide or local
newspaper, in-store or pet specific magazines in targeted markets, using Pet
Talk Radio! on community radio becomes an appealing and very cost effective way
to spread the word to your customers nationally about your products and
services.
A 'nice niche' don't you think?
