As we enter our 7th year of Pet Talk Radio! were really looking forward to some new and innovative projects we have on the boil right now.

But sadly - some people like to say 'we're finished, washed up... over the hill!' Why? Simply because we speak the truth on many issues that certain people in the 'animal care' arena don't want to hear.

Finished?... we've only just begun.

It's true we've temporarily halted production of the weekly radio show because we found it difficult to find funding - that doesn't mean PTR is a dud... besides we too have several dogs to feed, a large Aquaponics fish tank and more recently some chooks!

There are commercial realities we hadn't counted on. Like being on Community Radio (albeit 55 stations at one time) meant advertisers could not 'measure' how their dollars were being spent.

Likewise commercial radio 'loved' the show if we'd only play some more music (we played none) and maybe limit the chat to 2-3mins after every song and ad break.

Hmm - so we'd have to give you just 15mins of info every hour compared to 55mins with our 'long form' show.

But that's ok - We still provide a regular 'Featured Story' for you and will always comment on pet related issues - especially when they involve mis-information.

As Don Chip (Democrat pollie many years ago for those young 'uns out there) used to say "Someone's got to keep the bastards honest!"

Stay tuned to this space - we have many ideas we hope you will like and with some good fortune this year, we'll re-start the weekly radio show for you!!
